Late this afternoon, the PAL Commission on War Crimes, Justice, Reparations and Return served formal Notices of Legal Liability on Kinloss Synagogue, a previous host of the Great Israeli Real Estate Event, and StoneX Stadium, then suspected to be its upcoming London venue. Associated parties were also placed on notice ahead of the event scheduled for Sunday 14 June 2026.

The property fair advertises land in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. It comes amid escalating state-backed settler violence and systematic home seizures, with Palestinian families subjected to torture and killings by dual-national Israeli settlers as well as members of the occupation forces.

Media Attention

The event has attracted significant media attention and political condemnation. Leeds East MP Richard Burgon condemned it in Parliament, while Green Party leader Zack Polanski called for intervention in an open letter to Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.

Amnesty International UK’s Crisis Response Manager, Kristyan Benedict, has also condemned the fair. The Palestine Youth Movement and Palestine Solidarity Campaign have launched a major UK civil society campaign opposing it.

This attention follows two years of sustained legal and investigative work by the PAL Commission alongside PAL-Awda. Together, they maintained an extensive North American campaign that exposed and shut down similar operations across the United States and Canada. 

Legal violations

The legal briefs and evidentiary dossiers prepared by the Commission’s Director of Legal and Diplomatic Affairs,Deek, have been endorsed by an international coalition of attorneys and advocacy organisations. They identify serious potential liability under domestic and international law, including but not limited to:

UK legislation violations:

• Bribery Act 2010
• Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
• Consumer protection and fraud legislation
• Equality Act 2010
• Human Rights Act 1998

Grave breaches of international law:

• Fourth Geneva Convention, including grave breaches under Article 147
• Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court

The notices make clear that organisations providing premises or support may face legal consequences. Parties placed on notice cannot credibly claim ignorance of the potential violations connected to the event.

Further monitoring

Copies of the legal briefs and evidence packets are being dispatched today to relevant government authorities and key officials. The Commission has requested direct intervention and formal investigation in accordance with their mandates.

The PAL Commission calls on government agencies to investigate all parties associated with these events and suspend any related activity pending the outcome. Where liability is established, full accountability measures must follow, including sanctions.

The Commission salutes the civil society organisations that have continued to mobilise against these land sales events. Sustained public scrutiny remains essential to exposing unlawful activity and securing accountability.
